Stocks to Watch Today and this Week, it’s all about Cybersecurity

Cyber-Security-(2)A lot is happening right now and it is time to look at the hottest stock trends on The Street. It is all about security.

Cybersecurity companies are in vogue right now. The latest breach in security, which helped oust the chief executive officer of Target (TGT: NYSE), when they lost a massive amount of data to theft. This theft is bringing renewed attention to data and how corporations need to secure it better. Companies, which focus on cybersecurity, like Cyberark Software (CYBR: Nasdaq) and FireEye (FEYE: Nasdaq) have seen revenue growth tick up nicely recently. Corporations are spending not to become the next Target or Sony (SNE: NYSE). Another company that secures networks to watch is Palo Alto Networks (PNW: Nasdaq). With one breach after another, this network company will come back into play.

Even the tech giant Cisco (CSCO: Nasdaq) is getting into cybersecurity. This is thanks to the internet exploding in growth. Cisco is now embedding security measures into its digitization techniques. They are focused on the future with this move.

These stocks look expensive and they are. However, there is a theory that says if you want quality then you need to pay for it. These companies have legs to go even higher until insider selling starts. Watch for that. When that happens, the boom is ending.

Domestic Retail Companies

I am not real big on the traditional box retail stores when we have online retail giants like Amazon and Alibaba in the picture. However there are several we should pay attention to. Even with weaker consumer spending and crude oil prices, several stores like Nordstrom, Home Depot, Big Lots (BIG: NYSE) and Costco (COST: Nasdaq) are still in play and have the legs to continue inching higher.
