Daily Video Analysis: The Yen Hits a 7 Month Low

Good morning and welcome to CupO’Forex. This is your daily video analysis for September 11.

We have seen some volatility already coming out of the Asian markets today. We are on central bank watch for the region as Indonesia, New Zealand and other key central banks are announcing policy decisions. New Zealand and Indonesia are standing pat with no changes and the Philippines will look to loosen their monetary policy.

Australia already released key data this morning which showed some good labor market numbers. We also saw their unemployment rate tick down a bit. China also came out with data this morning which showed inflation is softer than expected. The consumer price index missed its target today as well as a steeper contraction among producer prices.

This afternoon, ECB President Mario Draghi will be speaking. We will listen to any hints at further quantitative easing measures from the common currency bloc. Also this afternoon, the United States will release key initial jobless claims numbers. We are expecting a print of 300K.

Thank you for listening and have a great day trading!
