China’s Flash PMI Surprises but Markets Shrug it Off

Good morning and welcome to CupO’Forex. This is your daily video analysis for Tuesday, September 23.

China released its Flash PMI this morning but Asian and Pacific Rim markets remained mixed as the U.S. markets closed lower overnight. We do have a number of economic data being released during the course of the day which should move the Forex as well as the equity markets. We have some GDP data coming out of France a bit later this morning. Germany will also release its Markit Manufacturing PMI this morning. Later this afternoon the United State will release data as well.

Housing price change for last month comes out right before market open. However, it’s another speech by a Federal Reserve member which we will all be listening too. FOMC member Powell is scheduled to give a speech later in the day.

U.S. markets fell, overnight, after China announced it was boosting stimulus. This came after a really poor home sales number, which declined sharply in August.
